UPIP-VAPI has given its support to the Antwerp Cultural Consultation (AKO) on the occasion of their jubilee New Year Concert.

40th New Year Concert
by the Euregio Youth Orchestra (EYO).

The EYO has been founded in1986 as a way to give talented youngsters a platform to experience performances in concerts on stage.
It is a large symphonic orchestra consisting of musicians of 13 to 24 years of age, comingfrom music schools and conservatories inFlanders and The Netherlands.
Every year about 20% members leave the Orchestra by means of study elsewhere or because of the maximum ageof 24 years.
The EYO is therefore a versatile Orchestra, anditwill be a pleasure to hear themplaying with all those enthusiastic young musicians.
